Song of the Day

Make a little room in your day for "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse, from Back to Black (2006). You need not know a song well for it to become part of a meaningful moment. Sometimes we return to music with someone in mind; sometimes we simply want a little company while the kettle boils. There is no right memory to find, and no particular feeling you ought to have. An old favourite can mean something different now, while a new discovery might find its place in an ordinary afternoon. Give yourself a moment without needing to explain your response. You might think of someone to share it with, or simply enjoy having a small pause that belongs to you. What, if anything, does this song bring to mind for you today?
