Payment and Cancellation Policy

All purchases on DearCupid.app are sold by Dear Cupid Limited (company number 17232358, 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU), which is your contracting party. Card payments are processed securely by Stripe, our payment processor. Dear Cupid never sees or stores your full card number.

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include UK VAT where it applies.

Creating a Dear Cupid account is free. Free members can use The Love Lounge, Love Songs, Love Notes, Ask Dear Cupid (within daily limits), Dear Diary, Places to Date and our games, and can join Connections. No payment card is needed to join, and you are never enrolled in anything paid without choosing it.

Free Connections members have one Like or Love Song per week, shared between both, which resets every Monday at midnight UK time. Private messaging between matched members is never charged per message.

Founding Membership is a one-time digital purchase of £50, including UK VAT where it applies. There is no subscription and no recurring fee. No more than 1,000 Founding Memberships will ever be sold, and each has a permanent membership number.

It includes access, without further charge, to Dear Cupid's own core premium community and dating features — including Premium and Exclusive-level Connections benefits and applicable future benefits — for as long as Dear Cupid operates the service. You pay once at a secure Stripe checkout, which asks for your billing address so we can meet our tax obligations. Before paying, you confirm that you want your membership to start immediately and that you understand your cancellation rights. After payment we email you a confirmation of your purchase and these cancellation terms.

Paid Premium and Exclusive Connections subscriptions are not currently available, and no recurring payments are taken by Dear Cupid.

When Premium launches, the planned prices are £11.99 a month, £29.99 for three months and £49.99 for six months. Exclusive prices have not yet been confirmed.

Before any subscription is offered, we will publish its price, billing period, whether and when it renews, how to cancel, and when cancellation takes effect. A subscription will only ever start if you choose it and authorise the payment at checkout. You will be able to cancel at any time, and we will remind you before any renewal where the law requires it.

Gold Discs let Connections members show special interest in a profile. Some memberships include a monthly allowance. Paid Gold Disc packs are not currently on sale; if they are introduced, their prices and refund terms will be shown before you buy. Gold Discs are not message credits.

Until 31 December 2026 at 23:59 UK time, every eligible Connections member receives complimentary Premium benefits. No payment card is required, nothing is charged and nothing renews; these benefits end automatically at 00:00 UK time on 1 January 2027. Exclusive benefits are not included. Members who complete a basic Connections profile by 31 December 2026 at 23:59 UK time — their gender, who they would like to meet, their location, the Connections consent and a submitted main photograph (which does not need to be approved by that time) — then receive 30 days of complimentary Premium automatically, running from 1 January 2027 to 30 January 2027 inclusive (ending at 00:00 UK time on 31 January 2027). The offer is given once per account and cannot be moved to a later start date; as with all our complimentary access, no payment card is required, nothing is charged and nothing renews. Members already confirmed for this offer under its earlier terms keep it. Complimentary Premium does not open Connections dating early: browsing, Likes, Love Songs and messaging remain closed until public dating opens. Access through an authorised tester code also needs no card and ends automatically. Existing Founding, Exclusive and tester benefits are not affected.

If we ever offer a free trial that would continue as a paid subscription, we will clearly explain the price, when charging starts and how to cancel before you agree, and we will only charge if you have authorised it.

Founding Membership is a one-time purchase of £50, providing membership benefits for the lifetime of the Dear Cupid service, subject to our Terms of Use.

Founding Membership is not a recurring subscription.

We do not offer discretionary refunds for a change of mind outside any applicable statutory cancellation period.

Your statutory cancellation, refund and consumer rights remain unaffected.

Where a refund is issued, the associated Founding Membership number is permanently retired and will not be reallocated.

Your 14-day right to cancel. You can cancel within 14 days of the day of purchase without giving a reason. Even though you ask at checkout for your membership to start immediately, cancelling within this period entitles you to a full £50 refund. To cancel, email info@dearcupid.app from the email address on your account. We refund without undue delay, and within 14 days of being told, to your original payment method.

Existing buyers. Purchases made on or before 23 October 2026 keep any more favourable contractual rights they were sold with, including the promise of a full £50 refund within 14 days.

If we close the service. We will give members reasonable advance notice. Any refund or remedy you are entitled to by law is not affected.

If you think a payment is wrong, please contact us first at info@dearcupid.app — we can usually sort it out quickly. If you raise a dispute or chargeback with your bank, premium access linked to that payment is paused while the dispute is open, and restored if it is resolved in your favour.

Under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, digital services must be provided with reasonable care and skill and as described. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights. If a paid service is not provided as described or with reasonable care and skill, you may be entitled to a repair, re-performance, price reduction or refund.
